About Me

Hi, I’m Katie Busch, an instructional designer based in Minneapolis, MN. I bring over 11 years of experience designing learning experiences with a focus on making content accessible, and engaging for diverse learners. I bring a constructivist lens to my projects. I believe in creating measurable learning objectives, authentic assessments, and alignment in all of my projects. I believe that every strong project starts with a learner and contextual analysis to ensure learning activities are appropriately designed and scaffolded to meet the instructional need.


I’ve worked across K–12, higher education, and corporate spaces in both Spanish and English. I hold a Master’s in Education from the University of Minnesota and am currently completing an Instructional Design Certificate through UW–Stout.

I am proficient the following:

  • building multimedia lessons and courses in Canvas

  • editing videos in CapCut and Synthesia

  • using Adobe Captivate and Articulate Rise 360 to create eLearning experiences

  • creating learning tools in Canvas

  • utilizing Squarespace and Google Sites to create interactive websites
